Studies

At the heart of the GERONTE project are two studies:

A proof-of-concept clinical trial conducted in France across eight study sites, aiming to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the GERONTE intervention within the healthcare system and under real-life conditions.

And a mixed-methods study, quantitative and qualitative, examining the care of older patients with multiple pathologies in 20 centers spread across 5 European countries (Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland)

The F-ECRIN infrastructure EUCLID will take over coordination of the clinical trials and facilitate the sponsor-investigator relationship. Methodology will benefit from support from Bordeaux University Hospital. Institut Bergonié is sponsor of the GERONTE trial led in ten sites in France.
