Trials

At the heart of the GERONTE project are two proof-of-concept clinical trials, one in France, one in Belgium and the Netherlands whose objectives are to demonstrate, in contrasting health system organisation and in real-life conditions across 16 study sites, the feasibility and effectiveness of the GERONTE intervention. The F-ECRIN infrastructure EUCLID will take over coordination of the clinical trials and facilitate the sponsor-investigator relationship. Methodology will benefit from support from Bordeaux University Hospital. Institut Bergonié is sponsor of the GERONTE trial led in eight sites in France, and UZ Leuven is sponsor of the GERONTE trial led in eight sites in Belgium and the Netherlands.
